The show is every jewelry-lover’s fairyland where numerous exhibitors and attendees gather to feel the pulse of the jewelry industry. Indeed, Vegas is famous for its glitz and gambling but what kicks the highest stakes up a notch is JCK. Read on for more deets on the trade event.
What is the JCK Jewelry Show?
JCK is recognized as the world’s most renowned jewelry industry trade show. It gathers premier retailers, manufacturers, designers and other jewelry professionals from over a hundred countries, all in one place. Further, the show is all about fascinating exhibitions, educational sessions and the latest in jewelry designs. There’s always something for everyone at JCK, whether you’re there for eye-catchy bling or network opportunities. Moreover, JCK is also a great place to explore market innovations.
How Did the JCK Show Launch?
It was 1992 when JCK launched its first jewelry exhibition at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. The show was called ‘Jewelry ’92—The Industry Show’ and it was a runaway success. But let’s backtrack a bit to the time when the idea of launching a new trade show hit JCK Magazine. In 1991, the JA International Jewelry Show was a big jewelry trade event held by Jewelers of America in New York.
However, Jewelers of America decided to sell their show to the Blenheim Group in 1992. During that time, some manufacturers and retailers had a meeting with Charles Bond, the then-publisher of JCK magazine. It was them who came with the idea of starting the JCK jewelry show. JCK Magazine and the manufacturers and traders decided to go through with the idea after having a serious discussion. But the proposed venue was not New York but Las Vegas which wasn’t quite a business destination then.
Why Was Las Vegas Chosen As the Proposed Venue?
Vegas was chosen because of its major price differential from the Big Apple. The low lodging, dining and union costs and diamond prices worked like a charm for JCK Magazine. It was Bond who suggested Vegas in a meeting with the staff and everyone liked the idea. Further he also chose a different timing for the Las Vegas jewelry show from the JA show. The event was scheduled for late May/early June, while the JA show would always happen in late July. Indeed, the trade event looked like a huge gamble at that time.
Over 30 Years of Running the Show
JCK celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022. What became the cherry on top were the number of footfalls that the show witnessed that year. The event welcomed more than 17,000 attendees and 1,800 exhibitors from various countries. Moreover, JCK clinched the Trade Show Executive’s ‘The Greatest Trade Show of 2022’ award. Indeed, that year was special for JCK, but 2023 took the adulation to the next level. The 2023 event exceeded its previous records with 18,000+ buyers and 1,800+ exhibitors.
The JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Show 2024
JCK will be returning to The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 31 to June 3. The theme of the global event is love. It’s expected that more than 2,000 exhibitors will be showcasing their products this year. This is one jewelry exhibition that should be on your agenda if jewelry is your passion.

The 2024 Las Vegas JCK Jewelry Show is a B2B trade event for jewelry industry professionals. The general public can’t gatecrash the event to pick up some jewelry. Every attendee has to have a certain set of qualifications to register and attend the show.
